Chloe’s Corner at CityScape Phoenix
Our communications intern Caelen recently visited Chloe’s Corner at CityScape Phoenix. She offered to write a blog post about her experience and we happily obliged.
Doesn't everyone wish they lived in that small town with the little café and corner store that everyone in town goes to? Well, I definitely did. A bustling downtown of a large city often loses any qualities of comfort or familiarity. Chloe’s Corner brings that feeling to downtown Phoenix’s CityScape.
The original Chloe’s Corner sits in the middle of Kierland Commons but Sam Fox, owner of Fox Restaurant Concepts, came together with the owner of Chloe’s Corner, Ashley Young, to create the downtown location. Chloe’s corner is a breakfast and lunch café along with a gourmet market. The food is based around breakfast pastries, salads, and hot and cold sandwiches. This sounds like your typical café but it is anything but that.
The sandwiches at Chloe's Corner are a must. You can go original with the Smoked Turkey Sandwich, or try something different with their American Grilled Cheese (my personal favorite) or the Chipotle- Raspberry Turkey. The American Grilled Cheese is one of the most popular dishes giving a twist to an original grilled cheese by adding tomatoes, bacon, and three types of cheese. Can you say melt in your mouth?
On the beverage side, the hand dipped milkshakes are magical along with any meal and the $.50 anytime, any way, cup of coffee is a steal.
The gourmet market is really what makes you feel at home at Chloe’s Corner. You can grab a drink from the selection of unique sodas, juices, and teas or take from the beer and wine selection. There is also a selection of original candy and treats that makes you feel like a kid again going to the little convenient store around the corner.
The quality of Chloe’s Corner that makes it so unique is the set-up and environment. It has walk-up ordering and you can choose to sit at the soda fountain type bar, at one of the high or low top tables, or on the patio. Growing up in a big city, Phoenix, I always wanted that small town feel that a corner market and soda fountain bring. I got to experience that when Chloe’s Corner appeared downtown. Chloe’s Corner allows you to take a step back from the hectic rushed life of a working city like Phoenix, and feel relaxed and at home. Downtown Phoenix’s CityScape is flourishing and the addition of Chloe’s Corner is its newest staple.
Chloe's Corner has two locations in Greater Phoenix. The CityScape location (which this blog post is about) is located at 50 W. Jefferson Street in downtown Phoenix. You can visit the second location at 15215 N. Kierland Boulevard, in Scottsdale.
